[JDT bug?] Filtered resources not saved [message #258941] Tue, 03 March 2009 23:22 Go to next message

For some reason JDT is configured to filter out *.xml from the source
tree when compiling. Why? I don't know... but that's not the bug.

I have removed the *.xml from the Filtered Resources field
(Window->Preferences: Java->Compiler->Building->Output Folder) and
rebuilt the whole workspace... and then after I have done so, the next
time I restart Eclipse the filtered resources list includes *.xml again.

This seems like a fairly obvious bug to me, but I'm open to explanations
of why it's PEBKAC before I submit it. Should I issue it?

Eclipse SDK (Linux)

java.vendor=Sun Microsystems Inc.
java.vendor.url=http://java.sun.com/
java.version=1.6.0_11

Version: 3.4.1
Build id: M20080911-1700

Of course I can provide a plugin list if needed.

Please open a bug report against JDT/Core with all steps to reproduce.

Maybe you're facing bug 230050:

Mauro;

That is exactly the issue. Thanks, I won't bother submitting a bug,
since it looks like it's fixed. I'll pull down a TPTP nightly, though :)

I think TPTP 4.5.2 should contain the fix and it has been released. So,
you shouldn't need any nightly.

I'm glad I've been of help.

Mauro.

I do have the same problem but not with *.xml. This time with *.ecore
After restarting Eclipse all the settings are resetting back.
Any advice would be highly appreciated.
