Hi guys,

I manage to built a project for creating models in Sirius, after the model is created, I use Acceleo to transfor the diagram into formal text that I use to perform some analysis.

The question is how I can pack the whole project so others can use it.
I hope there's someone who can help Smile

Best regards

Hello,

Did you use the Viewpoint Specification Project wizard to create your
VSM? This wizard add automatically the required extension point
"orge.eclipse.sirius.componentization" for deployement, so the VSM
created in the project will be available when it turns as a plugin.
Therefore, you can package your project as usual if the extension point
is set.

Regards,
Steve

Hi,

In the Sirius perspective, you can create a Viewpoint Specification
Project with the action in File/New/Viewpoint Specification Projet or
using the contextual menu of the Model Explorer view. You can find some
documentation in the Help, look into Sirius Specifier
Manual/Viewpoint/Viewpoint Specification Projects.

Steve

Hi Steve,

Yes I did that, the whole project works fine at my laptop. But I want to know how I can export it so others can use.

In particular, I managed to develop my modeling tool, and managed to use Acceleo to transform any diagram I make into some sort of formal language that I use to perform some analysis on the models I create.

However, I still need to do one final thing, I need to make this framework available to others, i.e., put it somewhere so others can download and use.

Any idea, how such thing can be done?

Best regards

Hello,

A Viewpoint Specification Project is a java plugin and can be built by
several methods, feature project + update site project, p2,
tycho...Sirius is built using tycho so as an exemple you can look into
the pom.xml files of each plugins. As this is an Eclipse building
question more than a Sirius related question, I will let you find a
tutorial on internet, but there are many and I recommend you to look for
a tutorial on Tycho.

Regards,
Steve
