Hello,

i want to code some html-files directly on my webserver, but i'm not able to open files directly on the webserver via ftp or something else.

on some channels i read, eclipse is able (standardly) to open files via remote connections like ftp.

Is somebody able to explain how to open the files?

You need to install the Remote Systems Explorer (RSE) client runtime for that.

Okay, thank you for answering.

And the information is wrong... remote access to files (like java, html, php, css, and so on) is standard feature of eclipse 4.4 (luna)?
okay, but i dont understand, how to import the html, php or something like this files?

I dont find the option to connect to remote ftp-server.

But maybe it is the wrong plugin...
i only want to conntect to a ftp-server using the file system on it and change the coded files on the ftp server... like i would do it on my local filesystem.

The controlling or running of the changed files will done from the server on which is coded file saved (the ftp-server).

I only need the view (left side) with files and folders from the ftp-server.
While it dont run... i ask again. Is RSE the right plugin?
