Hey there!

I'm trying to get in touch with any of the owners of the seemingly defunct #virgo channel on Freenode. If it isn't being used anymore, I'd love to take it over for another open source project.

I found info on the channel @ http://wiki.eclipse.org/IRC, but it looks like the channel has been empty for at least a year.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much.

Cheers,
Justin

Hi Justin,

as far as I know the #virgo channel is no relevant communication channel for the Virgo team. I'll try to get in touch with one of the owners so you can take over.

Regards,
florian

Hi Justin

I have dropped the #virgo channel. Hopefully, this will allow you to take it over.

Regards,
Glyn

Update

Glyn dropped the channel:

11:17 <irc.freenode.net> glyn DROP #virgo
11:17 <irc.freenode.net> ChanServ To avoid accidental use of this command, this operation has to be confirmed. Please confirm by replying with /msg ChanServ DROP #virgo 9a705618:acc5895d
11:17 <irc.freenode.net> glyn DROP #virgo 9a705618:acc5895d
11:17 <irc.freenode.net> ChanServ The channel #virgo has been dropped.

You should be able to take over #virgo now.

Good luck to you and your project,
florian
