Is it just me, or is it the case that performing a search on eclipse.org
fails to bring up newsgroup articles?

Newsgroup articles were recently removed from the default search,
because the sheer number of them polluted a basic search for anything
generic.

If you use the Advanced search, you can include the news and mail
archive articles.

There should be a hint on the standard page since people are used to get
the newsgroup and mailing list results.

That was a good idea. I added a small blurb to that effect.

BTW, hits to the search engine have decreased since it has been recently
reconfigured, tuned and reindexed -- however the number of unique IP's
is about the same. I'm guessing people are not having to perform several
searches anymore to find what they're looking for.
