Hello eclipse community,

at first i apologize if there is a similiar topic and for any grammar and language difficulties, i use english almost never.

About my question:
I am working on a php-project on a remote server and do not understand how i have to configure my project so that my changes automatically get copied to the remote server, combined with my git repository. I am using eGit and Remote System.
First i tried to simply create a remote project with the tools of remote systems, but when I try to add git support to this project I get an exception. I think that this does not work because the remote project is just a link to the server and therefore eclipse cannot link it to eGit, but honestly i have no idea how to solve my problem.

About my workflow: I want to be able to download and upload my php files the easiest way possible and to have a seperated git repository, so that I can switch between branches or commits and copy them on the remote system so that I can test it directly.

Greetings,

T.A
