I've just installed the all-in-one package from the e(fx)clipse site on my Ubuntu 14.04 machine. But not sure either to make the folder root-previlege or not.
What kinds of permissions should I give to the e(fx)clipse package and which folders should I give them to?

(I'm pretty new to Ubuntu. and it is a lot tougher than I thought it is Sad )
Thanks

If you install it into your user account I would not give it root privs
because this leads to the fact that eclipse is not able to write into
the root folder, it might run into problems when you update your install
with the built-in update wizard, ... .

Please note this all comes from an OS-X user so I'm not a general user
of Linux

Thank you for your reply:)

I also asked same thing at the Ubunt forum and figured out that I don't have to mass with root priv at all in the first place.
