i would like to read the widget window properties from a file when creating the window / dialog / widget
this would allow a user to do changes in the window layout.
Is there any externalize / export function for the properties (the property window shows the values i would like to put them into a file)

That sounds like a runtime question specific to the UI toolkit you are using.

Yes it has to do with runtime.
instead of having the properties directly in the sourcecode, i rather would have them in a property file, reading at runtime.

Ofc it is possible to create that, but if somebody had the same idea, why to reinvent the wheel?

If you are looking for something like that, I would suggest asking in either the Eclipse SWT forum or the Java Swing forum.

thx
If i understand you correctly, there is no way to create the window in the windowbuilder and then export/externalize the properties (the property window content in the windowbuilder)?
