Hi all !

I am developing an Eclipse plugin, not a RCP standalone app, and I can't figure a way to design it with the new e4 API.

From bug 376486, I understand that I can't use XMI fragment or Processor. But just to make sure, I tried anyway and rapidly came across "problems".

Every tutorial I found was talking about RCP, so I'm feeling quite lost. My questions are:
  • What is the right way of contributing to Eclipse IDE 4.4? Should I be using the old 3.x API ?
  • Maybe you know about an Eclipse IDE plugin using the new API that I could use as an example?

Thanks for your help,
Cyril

I stumbled across the same problem. All information I found is focusing on RCP development only.

I would also appreciate any help here, because I am on the verge of writing a new Eclipse plugin and I would like to use new e4 stuff.

Cheers, Ecke
