There's an over-abundance of whitespace, elements aren't separated well, it's less intuitive to distinguish things... is there a way to revert the look to stand out more? I'm just not into this whitewashed look where everything's just kind of floating around in clouds and sky blue.
Actually the forums are nicely contrasted and colored; I wish Eclipse looked more like that.

It would be more effective to open bug reports with images illustrating your specific points, and indicating the platform and theme you're using. You can find Bugzilla at http://bugs.eclipse.org/ . This isn't the right place for your feedback to get the results I'm sure you want.

I played with this once and got some traction with it. It might work for
Kepler too. If worried, drop a few breadcrumbs behind you and you can
reverse the process.

Thanks, that's very helpful, however I did discover how to revert the look (as I mentioned in a post above), but I haven't played with any new functionality yet (it appears to be identical to the old version I was using), but I will hit that link again if I run into unbearable problems.

These forums are staffed by community members who take their own time to
respond out of pure altruism. No one's paid to do this; no one gets any
kind of benefit, not even points à la stackoverflow. Most of us have
used Eclipse for years to do real work. Sometimes a question is asked
that is outside our experience. You get the best of our experience, not
the encyclopedic knowledge of a button-pushing flunky I'm afraid.
