Hello,
since Update to Java 8(u11) my Java Webstart/SWT with 4.4 swt libs doenst have the look&feel of current windows 7 or windows 8. It looks like stone-aged windows 2000. When I reinstall Java 7 on windows it looks good again. Is there a chance to get the look also with current Java release?

Hi all same here using SWT 3.8.1, Windows 7 (64bit) and java 7 u65.

Initially everything worked correctly with Java 7 u65 64bit, then
installed the 32 bit version of the JRE (to test a customer's situation)
and after, even reinstalling the 64 bit version, the L&F remains a-la win2k.
Tried to upgrade to java 8 too but doesn't help.

Some ideas?
Something that remains broken during installations and reinstallations?
I have tried deleting the java-cache folder but doesn't help.

Kindly

Issue has been raised with Oracle, until it gets fixed try below workaround:
Add below entry in 'deployment.properties':
deployment.security.use.insecure.launcher=true
and it will enable the Visual Styling(bug 439759)

If you need any help on locating deployment.properties on your system, then please refer below Oracle tech-note:
http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/guides/jweb/jcp/properties.html
