RCP Startup Linux Ubuntu 14.04 Blank Screen [message #1402919]

Hello,

i have a RCP application which is based on a product configuration. The product
uses 3.8 plugins and the compatibility layer with Eclipse 4.4, JRE 1.8.05.

If i start the product from within Eclipse everything works fine with Windows. However
if i'm trying to start the product under Ubuntu the Splash screen appears but then the application doesn't startup correctly and a blank inactive screen is indicated in the Linux taskbar.

Is this a known error. Any information would be appreciated

Is the app in the background (i.e., not the active window)? Does making it the active window start the app?

Otherwise follow some of the suggestions in the "How to Report a Deadlock" page and report back.

OK. I have to investigate this further if a deadlock occurs. I thought this would be a known bug.

The bug i described is a deadlock situation which has nothing to do with the platform in general. It is a resolvable problem in my application.
