Job description
The successful candidate will be working on a team enhancing the open
source Eclipse C/C++ Development Tools (http://www.eclipse.org/cdt)
project in areas of interest to IBM products and technologies. You will
have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the software development
lifecycle including design, development, and test. As part of this team
you will have the opportunity to network extensively with groups outside
of IBM within the CDT open source community and with teams inside IBM
who ship CDT (RSA, RSM, RDz, TPF Toolkit, Research, and others). The
majority of the development will be done in Java targeting the Eclipse
open source tooling framework.
Required
* Bachelor's Degree
* At least 1 year experience in Apply Knowledge of Eclipse
* At least 1 year experience in Use Programming Languages
* At least 1 year experience in Apply Knowledge of Software
Development Cycle
* At least 1 year experience in Perform Debug
* English: Fluent
Preferred
* Information Technology
* At least 2 years experience in Apply Knowledge of Eclipse
* At least 2 years experience in Use Programming Languages
* At least 2 years experience in Apply Knowledge of Software
Development Cycle
* At least 2 years experience in Perform Debug
Additional information
Strong Java development skills and experience
Eclipse Plugin development skills and experience
C/C++ Working knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Development on Windows, Linux, and/or AIX
MAKE/GNUMake knowledge would be an asset
Excellent communication skills
This is a temporary position paid hourly without the IBM benefits
package. Vacation, statutory holidays and overtime will be paid in
