Hello,

my question is: How can I create a local p2 mirror repository from a target definition (.target file)?

This seams to be a simple question, here is what I did and where I got stuck:

Try 1:
- Open target file, set wanted arch/ws/os options and click "Export".
(Repeat for all needed arch/ws/os combinations and all target files Sad )
=> Didn't work: Exported repo contains folders and so can't be accessed remotely.

ERROR: Artifact org.eclipse.update.feature,org.eclipse.jdt,3.9.2.v20140221-1700 is a folder but the repository is an archive or remote location.

Try 2:
- Convert target file to the p2.mirror Ant task call.
=> Missing feature bundles. The resolution seams to run differently compared to the target platform resolution.

So how can I create a mirror p2 repository containing only artifacts, that I really need for my projects?

Thank you very much for help!

Cheers,
Boris Brodski

Hello,

I wrote an export wizard, that can export p2 repositories (Must be selected using checkbox below):

Source: https://github.com/borisbrodski/org.eclipse.pde.targetplatformexporter
Update site: https://github.com/borisbrodski/org.eclipse.pde.targetplatformexporter/raw/updatesite/org.eclipse.pde.targetplatformexporter.site

index.php/fa/18694/0/

It's implemented really "quick and dirty", but it works Smile
Pull requests and comments are welcome!

Cheers,
Boris
