After installing a JSON serializer package, the aird file cannot be opened. Removing and adding back the Modeling Project nature fails with the following error message:

An internal error occurred during: "Loading models".
org.eclipse.sirius.viewpoint.impl.DAnalysisImpl cannot be cast to org.eclipse.emf.ecore.EPackage

The repair action on the aird file fails with the same message. Uninstalling the JSON serializer package that presumably broke things in the first place had no effect. Does anyone know what might be wrong and if so, how to recover from this state?

After creating a new project and reconstructing the diagrams, they suddenly stopped opening, after many workbench restarts, with the following error message:

An internal error occurred during: "Loading models".
Cannot modify resource set without a write transaction

Again, the repair action fails with the same error message.

After reinstalling the workbench and creating a new workspace, the problem still occurs. So, the json serializer was a red herring. Not much of a surprise there. The problem occurs with the 4.4RC3 modeling package download, unmodified.

If anyone knows of a solution to this problem, please let me know.

Hi Jack,

this is surprising news for us, as you are the first one experciencing
this issue. Is your Json serializer available somewhere so that we can
try to reproduce your loading problems ?

Ideally, it would be great if you could raise a bugzilla issue with
steps to reproduce [1].
