Is there a way to enforce the alignment of elements horizontally instead the default vertically (see attachments)?

I didn't know that the alignment of the elements is enforced in any direction? (I've just never noticed it)
Maybe I am wrong, but if I want my elements to be aligned, I just calc it myself.

You are probably correct, there is not such default enforcement.

I basically want to know if Graphiti has a layouter or API that allows you to align a particular feature type to the right of another feature or if anyone has any suggestion on how to enforce that rule.

As far as I know, there is nothing in Graphiti, but there is a framework from the University of Kiel.

There's nothing like layouters in Graphiti. We offer only plain XY Layout.

You could programmatically set the coordinates on adding the stuff to the
diagram (add feature) and restrict moving the shapes inthe move feature.
