GUI testing tool [message #235676] Wed, 08 July 2009 17:27 Go to next message

Hi,

I wish to implement some sort of test suite for my GMF application, so I
wish to use some sort of testing tools that can interact with the GUI
(ideally the tool will be able to simulate the event of user clicking a
button or drawing figures on the canvas and so on)

My research yielded SWTBot: http://eclipse.org/swtbot/

I'm just wondering if this is the best tool to use or whether anyone has
a better recommendation?

Thanks,
Johan

Hi,

I am currently working on swtbot4gef :

http://code.google.com/p/swtbot4gef/
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=269609

At this time nothing is really usable, but you may follow progress

Regards,

Mariot

Hi Mariot,

Thank you, that looks like a wonderful project! :)
Indeed I am currently in the process of trying out SWTBot, I'll try out
SWTBot4GEF if SWTBot does not meet my requirements

Cheers,
Johan
