Just a random Thank You!!! :-) [message #233884] Fri, 04 May 2007 05:52 Go to next message

As a longtime user of EMF/GEF/GMF I just want to out-of-the-blue say
THANK YOU for providing such a powerful set of frameworks.

I have met (probably) all of you at conferences and conventions before
and not many people realize how small your teams really are. The
frameworks you've provided can seem daunting when first learning them
but as the projects that use them get more and more complex the true
powers of the frameworks come to light.

I personally have greatly benefited from the work you all have done and
the considerable amount of help you've provided in these forums so I
just want to take a moment and say Thanks!

P.S. Of course I also greatly appreciate the rest of the Eclipse family
but I think they already receive more than enough glowing press coverage
to overshadow a simple Thank You from little ole me :-P

Khai,

That's extremely nice of you to say, especially publicly in a forum
where mostly it's problems, problems, problems. :-)

I guess other folks must think the same thing because we were thrilled
to see how well the modeling technology is ranking with the JDJ readers:

It's sure nice to get positive feedback!

In breaking all news group rules :-)
I totally agree and the support on here has been a great help.

I think I took on a bit more than I could chew as I'm not a Java/xml =
coder at all (does it show from my questions) and if it wasn't for the =
common sense frameworks and support here I would have given up.

Keep it going everyone
