Mouse move Location in editor [message #226566] Fri, 17 November 2006 02:05

Hi,
I have an Editor that extends GraphicalEditorWithPalette and I have set the
viewers editpart to ScalableFreeformRootEditPart.

Now I am currently getting the mouse move location from a listener in the
editor however the location is relative to the top left corner of the
visible editor.

My problem is that I need the absolute location of the mouse with respect to
the root edit part hidden + visible. I do have a model and editpart that
sits atop of the root.

The context: I'm sending the location of the mouse to another client (ie
Remote mouse pointer) currently if one user scrolls the editor the mouse
location is wrong. Getting the scroll bar data is an alternative.

Can anyone suggest a possible solution?

Thanks!
Rob.
