file unfolding in project explorer [message #223519]

If the "link open editors with content in the Navigator" option is activated, a
single click on an opened file in the Project Explorer will always unfold the
file, and so does switching the current editor tab. This is different to the
behaviour in the Package Explorer in Java. Is there a way to deactivate this?

This is a bug with the Project Explorer which has been fixed recently.
The fix will be released with Eclipse 3.4.1 (Ganymede winter maintenance).
