Creating a Dynamic Web project [message #219187] Tue, 12 August 2008 14:53 Go to next message

I am trying to convert a Web app project from 3.2 (MyEclipse) to 3.4
Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers (WPT).

Since there is no conversion utility, I moved the source code to a temp
directory, then started Eclipse, Eclipse complained that the project
was not there and I deleted the reference from the Project Explorer.

I then started to create a Dynamic Web Project with the same name as
the old project.

I filled in the values into the wizard, then clicked on Finish.

The wizard reached about 80%, then showed that it was "Installing
Dynamic Web Module facet", where it froze.

Eclipse 3.4
Java 1.9
Tomcat 5.5.9

Ok, I kill Eclipse.

I then deleted the project from the Tomcat webapps

Started Eclipse. I could see the project in the Project Explorer. I
removed it, then created it again. This time it worked.
