Hi everyone.

I'm having a strange problem with one machine in our environment(with windows 8.1 and IE11) that when i try to run (preview) any Birt report the exception "org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Premature end of file" is raised. I can't view the loading bar neither. All the other client machines (all with windows 7 and IE11) can run the reports (so its not a problem of xml). Also, i can direct print the report using a java applet in this machine.

We are using BIRT 2.1.2 because its the last supported version for our maximo 7.1.1.4.

We are currently migrating to MAXIMO 7.5 with a newer version of BIRT, but this is not an option for the current year.

With Firefox and Chrome, since i remember, the same exception is raised, but that browsers are not an option in our network.

Anyway to debug this or anyone with the same problem?

hi Paulo

could you try commenting out lines 668 and 669 of webcontent/birt/ajax/lib/prototype.js

i think this may help

I also encountered this problem. Maximo7.1.0.0 will report this error when using Birt on IE11 of Windows 10 system. However, there is no problem with IE11 on Windows 7 system and it can be used normally.

I can't solve the problem by commenting 668 lines above.
