Hello,

I installed Kepler 4.3.2 on my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.5 and it will not start. No error shown when launched from the GUI, but the following is reported when attempting to launch via 'open':

LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -10810 for the file /Applications/eclipse/Eclipse.app.

I have Juno installed in a different folder and it still works, both from the GUI and using 'open'.

At first I thought the problem was the lack of Java 1.7 (I had only 1.6 and 1.8) but installing 1.7.0_55 made no difference. I added the JDK as follows to the top of the eclipse.ini file:

-vm
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.7.0_55.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java

...but this also made no difference.

Assistance will be appreciated!

Kevin D.

The problem was resolved by downloading a fresh copy of the installation archive and reinstalling.
