Seems too difficult to remove jars from web project library set? [message #217924] Tue, 22 July 2008 01:53 Go to next message

In a WTP Dynamic Web project, I found it surprisingly difficult to remove
jars from web project library set. I puts some jars into the WEB-INF/lib
folder, and they were correctly picked up and displayed as the web
libraries set.

However, there didnt seem to be a way to remove them. WTP Package Explorer
hides the underlying file in WEB-INF/lib, so it cannot be deleted from
there. However, it cannot be removed from the build path window, or
context menu, either; the edit button is grayed out as if the library set
is derived.

I ended up deleting them outside Eclipse. To me, that indicates there is
some feature missing (or hidden from me) within Eclipse?

Regards
Ben

Well, I have to agree with you... I usually manage JARs in WEB-INF/lib
from outside Eclipse and then issue a refresh on that folder...

Mauro.
