Disable "syntax" checking? [message #1288241] Tue, 08 April 2014 11:50 Go to next message

How can I disable syntax checking for my BPMN diagrams?

I am not always going to build 100% semantically correct diagrams, so I do not want the red "crosses" and orange triangles to be shown.

Is there a way to disable this? Smile

Yes there is Smile
Go to the User Preferences/Validation page and disable Manual and Build validation for the BPMN 2.0 Project Validator category.

Cheers,
Bob

Thanks Robert.

For anyone reading this, the exact steps I did were:
Window -> Preferences -> Validation -> Untick Manual&Build tick for BPMN -> Untick "Allow projcets to override these preference settings".

The warnings are not appearing for new objects.

One more question though: can I remove the 'warnings' for objects that have already been checked?

Yes, simply validate the file again (either from the project explorer, or from the context menu in the editor) or select the lines in the Problems view and delete them.

All right. Had to do some searching but it worked.
For future readers, Go to Window -> Show View -> Project Explorer, then right click on the project you are working on and click Validate (after doing the steps in #2 of this topic).
