Really good question. It would seem the Eclipse community would be a
valuable resource for language packs, but in the past the packs have
seemed to drop from the sky from IBM. Is there a project the community
can contribute to? If not, why not?

(I've broken the sacred rule and cross-posted this to
eclipse.foundation. Responders feel free to reply to only one or the other.)

I'm not sure, although I thought I saw another thread that basically went:

"the language packs aren't open source, which is why the community isn't
working on them"

Looks like you're right, they basically "drop from the sky" from IBM.

Later,
Paul
