I've used Oomph to get me an Eclipse Installation for Xtext, Xtend, etc.

I noticed that Oomph seems to place the bundle pool in my home directory under ~/.eclipse
Since the bundle pool can quickly consume several gigabytes of space and I'd like to place it on a different partition on my hard drive, can I tell Oomph to use a different directory for it?

Moritz,

You can set an environment variable setup.p2.agent to point at a
folder. Alternatively you can do this as a -Dsetup.p2.agent VM option
in the setup-eclipse.ini. I've had to do the same thing; I did it using
a system variable because I just always want it redirected because my c:
drive is small and fills up.

hi Ed,

thank you, the setup-eclipse.ini parameter worked for me.

However, it was confusing not to see the new bundle pool location in the Release Engineering preference dialog, even though the new bundle pool location was active.

Mortiz,

It's not stored as a preference... In fact it's not stored at all...
