Both the documentation and wiki for GEF4 mention DirectedGraphLayoutAlgorithm, but I can't find it in the org.eclipse.gef4.layout plugin. Am I missing something?

Hi Greg,

a quick search told me that the mentioned algorithm was deleted in http://git.eclipse.org/c/gef/org.eclipse.gef4.git/commit/?id=ffedfbba8292c496056e7c1cbc900e88cd487751 as it was not implemented over the Zest API but used a Draw2D API that will not be supported in GEF4.

Can you please point at where exactly in the GEF4 documentation did you find this reference to fix it correctly?

It's here: https://wiki.eclipse.org/GEF/GEF4/Layout and also in the GEF4 Zest Documentation in org.eclipse.gef4.zest.doc.

Do you know if there is a replacement? I switched to GEF4 in order to get some of the more flexible features, but now I've lost this layout.

Greg, indeed the algorithm has not been ported to GEF4 yet. I have created bug #431750 (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=431750) to keep track of the issue.
