Starting Liferay Tomcat bundle from Eclipse [message #212935] Fri, 25 April 2008 13:37 Go to next message

I'm trying to start Liferay Tomcat bundle from Eclipse. The bundle is a
Tomcat container and Liferay is installed as a root application. The
container seems to be starting fine but then I get timeout error and the
following message appears in the .log file:

!ENTRY org.eclipse.wst.server.core 4 0 2008-04-24 15:46:07.767
!MESSAGE Timeout waiting for Apache Tomcat v5.5 (Liferay) at localhost to
start. Server did not start after 45s.

There are no error messages in the console.

How can I diagnose the problem? Increase the timeout?

Please advise.

Thank you,

AT.

Try Window -> Preferences -> Server and increase the "Server timeout
delay", assuming you are using WTP 2.0.x or earlier.

Cheers,
