I have a webapp from where I want to pass a parameter which would show/hide the watermark in my PDF birt report.

How can I achieve this.

One way could be to create a master page that has the watermark and one that doesn't, then, switch master pages used for the report based on your parameter value. You could probably also just add the image dynamically to the master page in your beforeFactory script or something, based on your parameter.
