I am looking for information on how to integrate Jetty. I found a few
plugins such as JettyLauncher, Run-Jetty-Run and Maven Jetty plugin. None
of these seem to be the "native" WTP server adapter (like the way Tomcat
can be installed in the server definition). Is there such a WTP server
adapter for Jetty? What are the pro and con using various plugins vs WTP
server adapter? I also found out that the platform itself has an embedded
Jetty http service. Can it be used in testing web apps in the workspace,
if so, how? Thanks for your input.

http://docs.codehaus.org/display/JETTY/Web+Tooling+Support

there is a jetty wtp plugin that works in europa right now, and I am
actually looking into increasing some support for it right now, but it
works with an existing jetty installation already.

cheers!

Thanks. It works great. I am not sure why people would use other plugins
if this is the standard WTP way of doing server stuff.

Many of those other plugins were developed before WTP came about so
there is some legacy implementations happening.

since your using it, feel free to let me know what kinda of increased
functionality you might like to see in it...I am looking into adding
the ability to deploy out of the project without having to do the whole
package deploy steps...but that starts leaving the current setup of
using the generic server tools implementations...

cheers!
