Hello Mohammed, hello GMF-Group,

I want to create an Editor that displays the Routing for a specified
Network component. The example below displays the Routing-Informations
for a Networkcard which is instaled in a PC. The NC has a Container that
contains 2 connectors. One ISA to the PC and one Lan-Connector. The PC
also has a Container containing the NC.

Picture BorderItem-/RectilinearRouter

I tried the RectilinearRouter for the Routing of the Connections and
wasn't very happy with the result. Then i found the
BorderItemRectilinearRouter and thought this would be exactly what i need.
After i followed Sandip's instructions how to set up the
EditPartProvider i finally got it workin, but there seems to be no
difference between these both routers.

I read the Diagram-Informations from a file. Is this a Problem? I am not
sure but maybe the Positions of the EditParts aren't set when the Router
tries to route the Connections? Can this be a Problem? Or is it because
the Connector-Editparts reside in a Container?

I can collapse some of my Containers and in this case all Connections
that leave this Container are switched to the TopLevelEditPart. Then the
Routing seems to follow the features explained in the New and
Noteworthy, at least for the side connected to the TopLevel-Editpart:
