Not able to create Any J2EE project [message #206219] Mon, 31 December 2007 10:02 Go to next message

Hi All,
I am currently using the Eclipse WTP 0.7 version with JDK 1.4.2_10. It is
working perfectly fine. I normally work on web applications using the
eclipse environment along with JBoss as my server.
Now I was planning to switch to Eclipse WTP 2.0. I downloaded the file
"wtp-all-in-one-sdk-R-2.0-200706260303-win32.zip" from internet and tried
to use it. I extracted the file and opened the eclipse from it. Eclipse
3.3 opens but there is not option to create any J2EE project (EJB or
Dynamic web project) exists in this editor. Neither there is any J2EE
perspective. I tried to create a server runtime but there is only one
option of basic HTTP server and no other server is there.
Can someone help me that what am I missing to get all those options which
were there in WTP 0.7 but are missing in WTP 2.0
I am neither able to create a dynamic web project nor to create a new
Jboss server instance.... :-(

Thanks in Advance

Hi !

which Java version do you use? Must plugins of Eclipse 3.3 require 1.5 (but you
can of course compile with previous java versions, 1.5 is only required for
startup).

Hope this helps
