When you create a Papyrus model from an existing UML model, it moves the UML file into the Papyrus model. When you delete the diagram, it also deletes the UML model
My question is, how can I unlink the Papyrus model from my UML model, so I can delete the Papyrus model without getting my UML model removed as well?

Hi,
If you explicitely select the *.di and the *.notation files, and delete them, the *.uml file will not be deleted (At least on the Kepler/Luna versions, i.e. >= 0.10.0)
However, if you select the top-level model "virtual folder", it will delete all the files related to this model (including *.di, *.uml and *.notation)
But as you are still using the 0.8.x version, all the files will be deleted as soon as you delete the *.di file. So, I'd recommend updating to the latest version (Kepler SR1 / Papyrus 0.10.1, and Kepler SR2 / Papyrus 0.10.2 in a few days)
Regards,
Camille
