One important component that is important not only to our Connectathon
preparation but also to NHIN pilot is the ATNA impl- I am wondering when
ATNA secure node and logging work will begin and its planned release, it
will be needed in mid-October when testing begins for Connectathon. The
ephi import and export events are important.

thanks
Donnie

If you need it by mid October, we'll need it few weeks in advance (i.e.
any day now ;) to integrate it in the IHE XDS/PIX actors and the bridge,
and test it internally.
I'll let you know as we do progress with it, and when a first version
will be exposed by the bridge.

I don't know much about the "ephi import and export events", maybe Don
can verify us that its there.

thanks

Work has started on a basic ATNA implementation.

OHF ATNA services available to other "grouped" actors include:

- TLS channel with bi-directional authentication for HTTP, HL7 and DICOM

- User Authentication via JAAS compatible framework using Login Modules
(currently available: username/password)

- Consistent Time client

- Creation of audit message objects for population by grouped actors

- Execution of Audit Record Event transactions

When grouped with IHE actors that can populate AuditEventMessage objects and
fire appropriate audit trigger events, the OHF ATNA services provide the
functionality required for product qualification as a Secure Node actor. PHI
import and export events are among the audit event "types" that will have
pre-populated AuditEventMessage objects available.

Except for the Audit Record Event transaction, initial code should be posted
by the end of September. We are planning to adapt the NIST ATNA audit code
base for implementation of the Audit Record Event transaction and are
evaluating it now--we hope to be able to make a realistic projection for its
availability by the end of September.
