I have just downloaded zip from http://www.eclipse.org/vtp/downloads.php

and trying to install plugin. I copied feature contents to feature
directory and plugin contents to plugin directory. Still i don't see
plugin being installed on my eclipse. What could be the issue ?

How do i debug the same ?

Why no update site ?

Thanks
Jigar

Hi Jigar--

We're a little out of sync right now with the VTP download site. For the
latest code, I'd encourage you to go to www.openmethods.com and download
from there. We're working on an automatic update feature that will let
openVXML patch itself from the Eclipse repository, but it's a complex
process -- please bear with us. :)

When you look in the Views list, do you see the collection called Eclipse
VTP Views?

I have submited request on openmethods site, but I didn't get any response.
Is there any way to get a stable version for VTP 3.0?

Hi--

We're working on a tagging system for the VTP repository, but in the
meantime your best bet is to use the installer at www.openmethods.com. It's
not the bleeding-edge version of the software, but we do rebuild it
periodically when something particular useful or nifty gets finished.

My apologies for the long delay in replying--

Hi Randy,

I've submitted a request at openmethods.com to download VTP/OpenVXML Studio. I haven't got any response.

The version at eclipse.org/vtp does not work with the installation instructions specified (JRE Build 1.6 and Eclipse Galileo). After following the exact installation instructions, I do not see the plugin in my Eclipse Perspectives.

Please let me know how I can get a working copy of VTP3.0.

Thanks,
Gaurav Kumar

Hi Gaurav--

We appear to be having a problem with our site registration at the moment; please email me directly at
randy at openmethods.com
and I'll get you the download links.

My apologies for the inconvenience,

Hi Gaurav--

I've found an issue with the registration page that would cause it to silently fail if not all of the fields were populated (oops). Should be a bit more user-friendly now, if you'd like to try that again.

Thanks,
Randy
