CVS: cannot see all branches [message #203708] Fri, 06 April 2007 15:54 Go to next message

Hi,

When I try to checkout a branch in CVS in Eclipse it does not show all
branches that exists in the respository. When I use command line I see all
branches as normal. Is there anyway that I need to setup Eclipse CVS to do
deep search or anything?

/Peter

Peter,

When I right click on the branches in the CVS view, and select select
"Refresh Branches", I get a list of projects. Then when I select a
project and hit finish, a dialog appears asking if I would like to
search deeply or not.

Does this work for you?

cheers,
ian

Hum...

I'm using Eclipse 3.3 M6, although I know they had some way of searching
deeply in older versions of eclipse too. To be honest, I have never had
much luck with CVS branches in Eclipse either. I did a quick search and
it seems that issues around cvs branches have come up a lot on the
platform newsgroup. You can try the newsgroup search, and see if any of
these results help.

Good luck,
ian
