I just added the Dynamic Web Module facet to a project and noticed that WTP automatically added the JavaScript facet. Furthermore, I can't un-select the JS facet and the UI says it's "critical to the proper function of this project." What's the explanation? And is there a way to have a Dynamic Web project that doesn't have the JavaScript stuff applied to it?

Thanks,
Eric

Hi,
I do not have an answer for why the JavaScript is installed. But if you really want to remove the Java Script facet, right click on the JavaScript facet, and select Unlock. Then you can remove it and give the project a try.

Hope this helps.

Right-click on the JavaScript facet and select "Unlock". Then you will
be able to disable the facet.

Larry
