Tomcal server.xml out of sync - any way to refresh ? [message #198774] Wed, 22 August 2007 16:29 Go to next message

Hi Folks !

I am trying to import a webapp into Eclipse 3.3/WTP 2.0/Tomcat 6.0 and
since this app doesn't use servlet mapping I have to use much maligned
"invoker" servlet which requires privileged="true" flag to be set in its
<context>. Since I can't set this property in Tomcat Modules editor, I
edited server.xml in my /Servers/..Tomcatserver.. folder. problem is that
Eclipse now complains that server.xml is out of sync with no apparent way
to reload/refresh it.

I have tried:
project - clean, refresh and build
Tomcat - new server, publish clean etc.

But no help - the error doesn't go away. How do you force Eclipse to
reload hand-edited server.xml or any such conf/*.xml file ?

thanks,

-Sanjay

ps: sorry about inadvertent send on earlier post.

This is old, but just in case someone has the same problem :

You can switch to "Navigator" view and there you can see the actual files for the Tomcat configuration and edit them directly. On these files, you can right click to refresh them.

Hope this helps someone someday...
