Hello,
Using Europa with WTP. Every time I update my code (from SVN) I get a
message saying "scanning for tasks" and this process takes a while. What
tasks is WTP looking for (if it's WTP at all)? Any way of shortening the
time it takes for this scan?
Thanks,
Zohar.

It's a bug (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=189276)
and it is probably spending more time waiting for the SVN checkout
and following build than actually scanning.

Is there a way to completely turn off the "scanning for task" ? Or is it
just a misleading message ?

thanks,

As long as it's sitting at 0%, it's just a misleading message. It's
literally waiting on any builders to complete before starting.
