Hi experts.
How can I install egit downloading the jar (or zip, I don't know). On the machine where I have the eclipse I can't connect on internet, but I can copy the "installer" on it.
And where I can download the egit plugin jar file?
Tks

You can download the zipped EGit p2 repository from
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/egit/updates/org.eclipse.egit.repository-3.1.0.201310021548-r.zip
this URL is linked from
http://www.eclipse.org/egit/download/
and
http://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/FAQ#Where_can_I_find_older_releases_of_EGit.3F
if you follow the links "browse p2 repository" you can also download the p2 repository from there

In order to install EGit from this archive do the following:
* click "Help / Install new software..."
* click "Add..."
* click "Archive" and select the downloaded p2 repository archive
* click "Open", select the features you want and install them

Thanks man!
I could not imagine it would so easy.
I didn't know that I could install a zip file through the eclipse install menu.
But I just found out that I have a very old eclipse version (3.2 Mylyn) and since I have the netweaver developer studio also, I do not want to risk to install a new eclipse version.
Anyway, Tks

You could install another recent Eclipse version as a separate Eclipse installation ?
