I have already downloaded the JRE and JDK but when i tried to open my eclipse software, i was not able to open the software due to error saying that:

" JRE/JDK must be available in order to run eclipse. No Java virtual machine was found after searching your path location"

However my JRE/JDK is already installed inside my laptop.
How do i resolve this problem?

This is probably a common problem of path configuration under Windows.
Make sure that you have a proper access to the "bin" folder of JRE/JDK
in PATH windows variable environment. Take a look at this web page :

http://www.java.com/en/download/help/path.xml

Hope it helps !

Hi Farah,

Apart from PATH properly not set, this could also be due to 32-bit vs 64-bit confusion as well. If you are running on 64-bit machine, then you need to download 64-bit JRE as well as 64-bit Eclipse. I have blogged series of steps to troubleshoot Eclipse No Java Virtual Machine was found error

Thanks
Javin
