hello all,

When the user use the palette to create an object, I want to open a
dialog box or a wizard to edit the newly create object, like name &
references to other objecs.

So I'm asking where is the best place to integrate the generated gmf code ??

thanks,
Ali

Hi Ali

In the GMF Runtime, there is a PopupMenuCommand that supports prompting the
user with a dialog box.

Cheers...

Hi Ali! Long time no see ;)!

There was a post about the same subject here:

http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.modeling.gmf/m sg12357.html

Dimitry advised not using this feature. I think it's better to open a
dialog box after creating the element like described here:
