Web Services Explorer Performance [message #194702] Tue, 19 June 2007 15:28 Go to next message

Hello,

I have been using Web Services Explorer for quite some time now to test
web services. The only problem I have with this tool is with it
utilizing 99% of the CPU when it tries to populate the source window
with the actual XML. I'm guessing this is because of the formatting. The
size of the XML data returned is ~ 712K.

Is there a way to improve the performance? I don't care as much for the
formatting if it means better performance. I'm using Eclipse 3.2.2 Build
ID M20070212-1330. WSE feature version is 1.0.104.v200701250524.

Hi Mike,

Are you referring to the source window in the request (top) pane or the
response (bottom) pane, or both? Is this a general problem with all the
web services you test, or are there certain ones that exhibit this problem?

Hi, I only have this problem with web services that return large sets of
data. The more data, the longer the delay. I'm referring to the results
window where the actual source shows up.

Thanks.
