WebSphere start in debug mode [message #194633] Mon, 18 June 2007 14:19

Hello -

I'm using wtp-all-in-one-sdk-R-1.5.3-win32 and WebSphere 6.0.2. I have
been able to start the server in debug mode and debug into my application.
The problem I'm having now is that the enterprise app that I need to
debug is huge and it takes 15-20 minutes for websphere to start up. When
I try to start it from eclipse in debug mode, it indicates it's starting,
but after 10-15 minutes, it transitions to Stopped. There is no error in
the websphere server log - it just seems to terminate. If I start
Websphere from outside of eclipse, it does start (although, as I said, it
takes a while).

Is Eclipse's plugin timing out waiting for the server to start? If so,
how do I change that setting? If I can't change it, can I attach to the
running server to debug the app?

Thanks for any pointers.

Cameron
