In several places, ports, state transitions etc, there is a popup allowing me to edit some values of the element. However there seem to be bugs that affects this display (see attached image). While I guess these bugs are well known, is there a way to turn off this function completely?

I have tried to identify any related setting but failed.

Hi

There are indeed known Xtext bugs which appear to be being worked on.
IIRC it was bad in Kepler but has not been causing me trouble since M2.
These appear to be synchronization issues where parsing happens at
inappropriate times. However the same message may occur genuinely if the
support for an Xtext grammar is inadequate; I have certainly fixed some
OCL bugs, but I don't think that the OCL parser should be in background use.

The error log should provide a stack trace that identifies the offending
grammar. Raise a Bugzilla against the problem component.

Hi Tomas,

The advanced editors can be disabled in the preferences:

Window > Preferences > Papyrus > Embedded editors

Hi Camille,

Ok, I have found that but I still can't understand how to turn them off?

Not all editors has any options that look like an on/off flag, and even those that have, it says something like activate compiler. I thought the umlPortEditor was the right one for ports so I tried to deacativate the compiler but that made no difference in the diagram?

Tomas
