Hello Edward,
thanks a lot for your report. What you describe, sounds like 2 distinct
bugs:
1. [efs] new project browse location dialog appears on 2nd try only
2. [efs] cannot create remote php project from new project dialog
Could you make bugzilla entries for these two bugs, including the
description and configuration info you gave? - This will help the
component owner of the EFS integration understand and fix the
problems.
With respect to the dstore, you are able to run this even if you
are not root on the remote machine. Just extract the dstore server
into a directory below your home directory. Then, you can either
execute the dstore server through the RExec server launcher, or
you launch the server manually and connect to the running server.
The latter works even through an SSH tunnel.
For details, see the docs you installed with the RSE, or at
http://dsdp.eclipse.org/help/latest/index.jsp?topic=/org.ecl ipse.rse.doc.user/tasks/tbeginlinux.html
section "To start the server manually", or "SSL and firewalls".
If you find the docs unclear, please also file a bug.
Thanks,
Martin
