Hello everybody,

for an old legacy system, I still need the old 3.5.6 ECF p2 repository for building. Is it anywhere available on the Eclipse servers? Unfortunately, I am not that familiar with the archiving policies and am quite in a hurry now. Nevertheless, I would like to familiarize myself with the policies and the way how to access old releases of individual Eclipse project's p2 platforms.

Does anyone have a hint for me?

Thanks a lot.

Best regards

You generally find old releases on archive.eclipse.org. They get moved
there to free space on mirrors. As a user, just replace
http://download.eclipse.org/ with http://archive.eclipse.org/.

For the p2 repository, its
http://archive.eclipse.org/rt/ecf/3.5.6/site.p2. The complete release
zip can be downloaded from
http://archive.eclipse.org/rt/ecf/3.5.6/org.eclipse.ecf.sdk_3.5.6.v20120610-1946.zip

Hello,

thanks a lot! I just found the URL a few minutes after creating this posting. Everything worked fine and once again, I am just stunned by the activity of the Eclipse Community.

Thank you so much!!!

Don't mention it!

May I ask what you are building with ECF?

Hello,

actually the project I was talking about has been archived already. But due to some upcoming personell changes, I needed to create one final milestone build for the archive. And the project had been using the remote services implementation of the Eclipse Communications Framework as an alternative to an old RMI-based remote interface.

Best regards
