Has anyone implemented Active Directory security in Hudson 3.1?

I've been using Active Directory in 2.x for years and have no problems.

I just specify the domain name and "Test Connection".

Connection reports as successful and a bind password is created automatically.

After that I just add people to the list of users with appropriate authority.

Works great.

In 3.x I try the same thing.

I specify the same domain name and "Test Connection".

The connection reports as successful and a bind password is created automatically.

However, when I add users they are not recognized by the system.

In addition I get exceptions in the console log and I end up deleting the security .xml file and restarting hudson because my environment won't let people log in, etc....
