J2EE/Web projects missing in New Project menu [message #180437] Mon, 02 October 2006 22:07 Go to next message

Hello,

I've got Eclipse 3.2 running with JST 1.5.1 and WST 1.5.0 (on Linux, JDK
1.5). Both were obtained through the software update feature using
Callisto discovery. I let the software update system choose all the
dependencies when choosing what to install.

Installation went nicely, but the only related entries in the "New..."
menu are under a "Web" item and mostly seem to be related to creating
static files (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JSP, Static Web Project). Where's the
widget for creating a new web project? I already tried running Eclipse
with the -clean option, to no avail...

Are you trying to run JST 1.5.1 with WST 1.5.0? They are incompatible
and so JST plugins are probably not starting. You need to get WST 1.5.1.
